I will be working Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Many may think that sucks, but I will get paid fat stacks. So it is allllllllll goooood.
Also, the installation of the header is getting close. So close I can almost hear it.

Go get a job at Walgreens. The one I work at gives me 40 hours a week over the break. During the summer it ranges from 40 to 50.

The union guys at a place I used to work used to do the same thing. Working over the holiday shut-down and get paid 2x, then work overtime so 1.5x, THEN work Xmas Eve, Xmas Day, and New Years Day to get another 2x. So effectively they would take the union average of $27/hr and make $162/hr.

Hey, I'll be getting paid for the holidays too...but I'm salaried. So I'll be sitting at home eating and getting a little tipsy while getting paid.

I had a job at a soda pop warehouse for summers in college. 4th of July, 1993 was a holiday (2x), a Sunday (+0.5), my 8th consecutive day of work (+0.5 for consecutives over 7), and I already had 48 hours in that week's pay period (+0.5 for hours over 40 per pay period). I worked a 15 hour day (+0.5 for hours over 8 in a day), so 8 hours at 3.5x and 7 more hours at 4x. That's the pay equivalent of 56 normal hours in a single day. Of course all this was after all the previous long hours and extra big paychecks. As a college student, I felt so bank.
